Losing a pet- whether it be a missing cat or a pet rodent- can be a traumatic experience. While others may scoff at that sentence, the kinship and bond we build up with our pets can be so strong they end up becoming a staple part of the family. So spare a thought for the owners of Clyde the cat, who went missing for 12 days!
In that time, even the most optimistic of cat owners would probably have presumed the worse. After all, if a cat is well fed and has adequate shelter, it usually has no reason to leave. This no doubt added to the confusion and fears of Clyde’s forever family.
In the meantime, all they could do was print out photos of their missing cat and pin them up in nearby locations.
It was no doubt a painful period for the family. The longer Clyde was missing, the more likely it seemed she wasn’t coming home.
But as luck would have it, Clyde returned home after a watchful neighbor recognized him from a ‘Lost and Found’ ad.
Clyde’s reunion proved that you should never give up- no matter how much adversity you’re up against. To top things off, Clyde wasn’t only met with loving embraces from his owners- the family dog also wanted in on the lovefest!
Triton, the family’s German Shepherd was also relieved to see his best friend back in safe hands. As they cuddle following their time apart, Triton keeps smelling Clyde, no doubt wondering what mischievous adventures it had gotten up to!
